3D Scanning

Three dimensional (3D) scanning is a technology that digitally captures the shape of an object by reading the light projected onto the object.

The scanning process requires minimal contact and does not cause any physical changes to the object. 3D scanners produce a 3D representation of the part with its exact shape and size.

Don’t be afraid to dream bigger. If you can think it, Beyond Blueprints can scan and model it. From tools and mechanical components to artifacts and bones, we are at the forefront of scanning, modeling  and prototyping.

3D Scanning enables our highly skilled engineers to:
  • Measure parts
  • Create CAD data
  • Create assemblies
  • Capture data quickly
  • Lower production time
  • Improve the quality of products
  • Analyze the competition
  • Resize parts
  • Provide digital storage
  • Compare the as-built model to the CAD data
