Reverse Engineering

Reverse engineering is a process of identifying and analyzing an object’s structure, function, and operation. The process also allows us to correct flaws and repair damaged areas on the part. There are two ways to approach the reverse engineering process. The first option is to measure an object by hand and then rebuild it using the acquired measurements.

The second and more efficient option is to scan the object. Once the digital data has been generated, we can create precise 2D and 3D computer aided design (CAD) models that match the original design. After the reverse engineering process is complete, Beyond Blueprints can take you to the next level:

  • Redesigning
  • Rapid prototyping
  • Quality assurance/inspection
  • Archeology
  • Archiving
